External walls

 

Standard wooden external wall

Structure:

1. OSB3 12mm

2. 150mm Insulation

3. 45 x 150mm wooden structure

4. Vapor barrier

Characteristics:

Thermal resistance of standard wall: R= 5,26

Soundproofing (Rw) = 42 - 52 dB;
External wall - is made of 45x150 mm wood and the uprights (vertical elements) are usually placed at 400mm
The external lining is made with OSB3
Thermal insulation is provided by URSA SF34 mineral wool
The vapor barrier film protects the insulation in the walls.

 

Internal walls

 

Structure of internal wooden walls

Materials:

1. Wooden structure:

         - 150mm load bearing walls

         - 100mm division walls

2. Insulation 100mm

Characteristics:

Thermal resistance of the wall: R= 3.21

Soundproofing (Rw) = 47 dB;
Thickness of the internal wall:
- 150 mm -> load bearing walls
- 100 mm -> dividing walls
Sound insulation is ensured by 100 mm mineral wool

 

Standard floor

 

Standard floor structure

Materials:

1. OSB3 22mm

2. 200mm sound and thermal insulation

3. 220mm wooden structure

4. Vapor barrier foils

Characteristics:

Thermal resistance of the floor:
- floor between levels: R= 4,4
- floor over the superior level: R= 7,5

Soundproofing (Rw) = 59 dB;
The slab is made of 45x220 mm beams, usually placed at 400mm interax.
The top lining is made with 22 mm OSB3
Thermal or sound insulation is provided by mineral wool:
         - 100mm inside the floor between levels -> sound insulation
         - 200mm in the top floor -> thermal insulation
The vapor barrier film provides protection for the insulation in the floor

 

Standard roof structure

 

Standard wooden roof structure

Materials:

1. Roof ridge

2. 200mm rafters

3. 200mm insulation

4. OSB3 15mm

7. Spruce siding 16mm

Characteristics:

Thermal resistance: R= 8,8

The standard roof is made of wooden rafters of 45x220 mm, usually placed at 400mm.
The top lining is made with 15 mm OSB plates
Thermal and sound insulation is provided by Isover Uniroll Plus mineral wool (0,036): 200mm
The vapor barrier foil protects the roof insulation and is the Rothoblaas brand

Thermal transfer coefficient (k) = 0,202 W/m2K;

Soundproofing (Rw) = 42 - 52 dB;

Class of fire resistance (F)= F30 - F60;

Annual consumption for heating = 63,7 kWh/m2

The assembly of timber framing houses

Montajul caselor din lemn

  • The concrete slab (foundation) - Must be made with local team. There is the possibility of making a wooden floor slab, on concrete pillars.
  • The wall footing - is made with 45 x 150mm wood planks which are anchored into the concrete slab with anchor Bolts.
  • The exterior walls are fixed into the wall footing and into the concrete slab with bolts and special wood-concrete screws.
  • The interior walls are fixed into the wall footing and into the concrete slab with bolts and special wood-concrete screws.
  • The upper wall footing fixes the exterior and interior walls together and is a base for the slab over the ground floor.
  • The slabs  are anchored intro the upper wall footing and the walls from the inferior level with bolts and bracket with reinforcements.
